When Paul Hammond was just a kid he was landscaping his mother's garden.  When he was a Tauranga teenager, hundreds of after school hours were spent working as the "garden boy" for a professional landscaper.  In his early twenty's Paul decided to branch out on his own. Now, fifteen years later, Paul has established himself at the top end of the market as Terra Firma Landscapes. 
A guru in the art of landscape design and construction, Paul is one of the Bay's most sought-after landscapers.  

With a passion for the earth and plants, plus a natural gift for envisaging the completed work of art, Paul discovered early on in his landscaping career that he could make a difference to people's living environments.

"I understand the earth and materials, I have an affinity for plants and environments - that's the sort of person I am.  A landscape either looks totally tampered with and man-made or it looks fantastic.  You either have the flair or not," says Paul.  

Paul's work sticks as close to natural as Mother Nature intended.  His results are fabulous, but not pretentious.  He loves raw and bold materials, such as boulders, stones and timbers.  His projects inspire.  They blend the rugged, the beautiful, the delicate and the colourful, with textures, shapes, forms and different surfaces.
