Landscaping isn’t just the pretty stuff – it’s the total garden infrastructure – the fencing, driveways, paving and retaining walls (if needed) – as well as the overall theme. Terra Firma Landscaping delivers not only on design but also on actual ideas for making your landscape look better and perform better. We care about providing solutions that will work better in the long term.

Soft Landscaping

This can include things like giving you a range of ideas from basic lawn preparation and seeding, through to the right selection and placement of plants to create the perfect balance of colours, shapes, and sizes in your greenery.

Plus, you will get advice on how to look after your precious plants, so that your garden will continue to provide pleasure.

Hard Landscaping

This relates to any non-living structures including garden features like patios, decks, conservatories, pergolas, paths and drives, steps, walls, and fences. We assist you with choosing the right structures to suit your location and to assist you in creating a design which wears well with time.

Paul reckons 15 percent of the value of the dwelling is the benchmark budget for landscaping. A solid investment, great landscaping not only provides you with outdoor areas you will love, but sets your property in a league of its own should you look to sell in the future.

Terra Firma Landscapes has over 27 years of experience transforming properties.

In May 2014 Paul Hammond visited our property to view the Riparian area that we had prepared for planting. He impressed us with his advice in relation to suitable native plant species as well as the number of plants we required to ensure the area would be well protected. The enthusiasm, commitment and attention to detail from Paul and his team during the planting process has provided an excellent outcome as we enjoy the benefits of a stream area that is filled with healthy well grown plants after only 8 months.

Robbie & Wally McGhee, Te Puke

Paul spent time understanding who we were and what we were looking for in a new garden. He designed the garden around our personalities as well as to fit the house and land. Although we were living out of town at the time Paul kept us well informed of the garden’s progress and talked through the reasons for any change to the plan. Paul was fastidious in his work and not afraid to make changes for the better as the project progressed which he completed on time. Paul was a pleasure to work with and he has given us a garden that has a future.
